“Everyone Deserves a Place on the Path to Successful Living.”
Lory Moore
Lory Moore understands a great deal about success, having achieved much in many professional and personal areas. She has been an attorney in private practice, a municipal judge, a high-earning network marketing executive, an advocate for patients’ rights, a mother of four, and so much more. Most of all she’s a teacher, a natural sharer, whose highest priority is making a positive difference in the lives of as many people as she can.
The line between Lory’s professional and personal life is often blurred, since her personal beliefs permeate everything she does in the business world and at home. Perhaps she can best be described by the broad, all-inclusive term “life’s coach.”
“I take the old saying, ‘To whom much is given, much is expected, very seriously,” Lory explains. “I’ve been blessed in many ways, and I see every day as a new series of opportunities to serve my fellow human beings—to apply my skills to help them attain happiness by improving their quality of life, achieving their highest level of lifetime wellness, earning long-term financial security, and accomplishing the many other tasks that must be fulfilled in order for their life to be a rich and satisfying existence.”
She continues, “In return, I expect that those who have benefited from what I have shared with them will share this knowledge with others and keep service to other people as one of their own highest priorities. I believe that’s what true success means—not what you’ve accomplished for yourself, but what you’ve done for other people. And this belief is not just based on an altruistic point of view. There are many reliable studies and ample evidence that show that people, organizations and companies that are of greatest service to others enjoy the highest, most consistent levels of rewards themselves.”
Three from the Heart
Lory bases much of her philosophy around three core beliefs:
• The pursuit of excellence should be paramount in everything that’s important to us—Whether it’s doing your best on the job, being a loving son or daughter, or providing what your children need from the moment you’ve become a parent, do it as well as you can. It will probably be somewhat difficult at first, and you may make mistakes along the way, but life is often forgiving and time is often your greatest ally, so don’t indulge in self-pity or discouragement. Just try to do better the next time, and you probably will.
"The phrase I use is "Good Only–Better Every Day": GO BED, which means my measure of success is to strive to make each small choice throughout the day, each use of my time, talent and resources, to be dedicated only to good, and to make progress each day in becoming better in at least one area. When I keep this as my intense focus and goal each day, my head hits the pillow each night in complete peace!"
• While some rights and privileges in life must be earned, people deserve life, liberty and happiness. (Sound familiar? Where have you heard that phrase before?) Happiness may be the most fundamental, ultimate goal or measure of success in life, but the definition may not be what you think. True happiness is not only joy in the moment, but must also be combined with meaning in the future. True happiness happens when you find, pursue and commit to your unique purpose.
• “Know where you’re going, then go ahead.” This old American saying, often attributed to legendary frontiersman Davy Crockett, is where Lory’s “due diligence” skills can prove priceless. With her years of legal training, business leadership experience, and talents for research, investigation, assessment and identification of the very best role models and life options, Lory is qualified to serve as your mentor and pathfinder, whatever your specific career or personal goals. Her research, probing and testing skills can save anyone time, money and the possibility of being scammed by unscrupulous individuals or enterprises that are long on promises, but short on integrity.
Lory's goal is to dig deep to discover the best practices and best evidence available in critical categories needed for success, and then deliver those insights to as many people as possible. Then, working together as a team of like-minded citizens, Lory and her partners are committed to help anyone who is willing to contribute and grow, to discover their unique talents and join in the revolution to change the world for the greater good.
Advocate for a Better Life

Lory Moore’s origins as a life’s coach go back to her childhood and teenage years when she lived in the Central Texas prairie town of Clyde (population, now, 3350…with a working stoplight!). Looking back, she now perceives many advantages to growing up in Clyde, where she got to know and make friends with people of all social and economic backgrounds. Always a standout and eager participant in extracurricular activities, Lory often attained high scholastic, sports, dramatic and community honors, including one title she may always cherish most—Miss Clyde Bulldog of 1982, prompting her teenage son to frequently brag to his friends, "My mom was a real dog in high school!."
Following graduation as valedictorian of her high school class, Lory earned magna cum laude bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Social Work from Abilene Christian University, followed by a law degree (also magna cum laude) from Baylor University. After law school, she practiced law in Texas until being appointed a judge in Sweetwater, Texas in 1993. There, she served as municipal judge for six years, before moving to the health supplements industry. In this private sector management position, she felt she could apply the various skill sets she had already learned while serving larger numbers of people.
One of her most exhilarating moments occurred during her tenure in the health supplements industry. Lory drew upon all of her legal training as well as her creative and communication skills to represent medically fragile children before a legislative committee at the State Capitol in Austin, Texas. Her amazing command of the facts, deep inner belief in the righteousness of the cause she was representing, and natural eloquence engendered several subsequent legislative actions to secure and protect this very vulnerable group, many of whom were unable to speak for themselves.
Lory quickly blossomed in her role as a leader of 1,000's of sales associates. Early on, she perceived that only through consistent nurturing, training, team-building activities and frequent, two-way communications would sales associates stay highly motivated and be able to steadily increase their earnings. Working with passionate, dedicated, and mission-driven individuals is Lory's life blood, as she truly believes that a small group of dedicated citizens, as Margaret Mead so eloquently say, is the only thing that can change the world.
Welcome to MAPs and Moore
“It was during my time as a sales leader that I was able to further expand upon and refine my own philosophy about how every person deserves success in life and how they can achieve it,” says Lory. “The three most enduring milestones I achieved were a broader worldwide perspective; a greater appreciation for the wellness lifestyle; and the development of my “MAPS System for Success.”
She continues, “My worldwide perspective was dramatically broadened by the scope and amount of international travel I did. In addition to my direct sales responsibilities, I felt it was important for me to observe firsthand and learn as much as I could about other people—their cultures, heritage, customs, values and, most of all, their spirituality. Understanding them better, I felt we could better meet their business needs, as well as learn more about ourselves.
“In the area of wellness, I learned that focusing on staying healthy rather than waiting to combat health issues as they occur not only made sense but would also give us (as lay people) greater control of our own bodies and destinies,” explains Lory. “Living a wellness lifestyle means more than just maintaining a healthy weight. It also includes regular exercise and physical activity, eating the right foods that provide the kinds of nutrition every human being needs, lowering the sources of stress in our lives as much as we can, and avoiding unhealthy practices, such as smoking and abuse of drugs and alcohol. It may sound like a lot, but it’s not that difficult to change gradually with the support of other people, quality resources and reliable guidance from trustworthy experts.”
Lory beams even more than usual when she describes her MAPS System for Success. “The MAPS System is the nucleus of my method for preparing people to locate the path to success that lies within them. ‘MAPS’ is an acronym for a number of concepts, which, when understood as a unified group, are the key tools needed to find and implement success, both in business and in life:
M = Mission, Message, Meaning
A = Audience, Attention, Attraction, Affinity
P = Passion, Presents, Profits
S = Support, Sales, Sponsoring, Service
“When someone understands the meanings and strategies behind those words; has done sufficient self-examination to know what natural and acquired gifts they possess; what they want and what they must work for; and applies that knowledge every day…success becomes virtually unavoidable!”
One Top Priority
“By now, everyone must have noticed that our world has changed and is continuing to change, sometimes at a breakneck pace,” explains Lory. “Many hardworking, talented, dedicated people who used to be able to find a good job and stay at one company for years are now finding themselves unemployed for the first time. Opportunities to rejoin the workforce in their former field may be narrowing, and they may be getting discouraged under the stress of job hunting, uncertain finances, stress at home and other inevitable pressures that often occur with unemployment.
“These people deserve happiness no less now than when they were employed. In fact, they probably need it more considering the challenges they have had to face recently! I want to help them, and I can help them. I want to show them that the hard times are just temporary and, if they are willing to explore new avenues within themselves, they will prosper and feel great again.”
Lory adds, “This is not simply motivational pep talk. I can provide a real-world plan that will produce real results to anyone who is willing to learn and do their part to apply this plan.”
She continues, “Malcolm Forbes has said, ‘It’s in times of economic downturn that fortunes are made.’ I can’t promise everyone a million dollar business…that requires a personal decision and dedicated action on each individual's part (although I am delighted to partner with anyone committed to that goal–we've done it before and will do it again!)… but I will promise to do everything within my power to restore your self-confidence, show you some ways you can start making a good living again today and get back to enjoying a rich, happy, fulfilling life.”
That’s Lory Moore—defining success as service, one person at a time.
